I am currently the Chief Systems Wrangler at Automattic, where I’m responsible for running the globally distributed infrastructure that powers WordPress.com, Jetpack, WooCommerce, WordPress.com VIP, WP Cloud, Pressable, and others. Previously, I worked for companies such as Laughing Squid, GigaOm, Electronic Arts, and Rackspace. After living on both coasts, I have returned to Texas, where I was born and raised. During the day, I do my best not to get too much BBQ sause on my keyboard, and at night….ok, well, it’s more of the same. When I’m not chatting on AIM, ICQ, Jabber, IRC, or reading about the latest and greatest in MySQL optimization, I enjoy traveling, attending and speaking at conferences, and playing a little lacrosse when I have time.
